Religious Games

The Jewish children of Jesus’ day played a game dividing into two groups. One group pretended to play musical instruments or singing. The second group responded in a manner totally out of character. Jesus responded to the religious leaders who gossiped against John the Baptist as being too strict and to Jesus as being too liberal in mercy and  joy.   They said of Jesus: “Look, a glutton and winebibber, a friend of sinners!”
