JESUS had a happy face – His disciples tried to keep the little children away, but
“when Jesus noticed he said to his disciples, “‘Let the children come to me, ….’”
Children only run to someone who has a happy face.
Charles Allen tells of when Bertel Thorvaldsen took a friend to see his famous statue of Christ with arms outstretched and head bowed between them, the friend said, “But I cannot see his face.” The renowned sculptor answered, “If you would see the face of Christ, you must get on your knees.”
“Oh, I want to see Him, look upon His face,
There to sing forever of His saving grace;
On the streets of Glory let me lift my voice;
Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice.”
(R. H. Cornelius)
